Ardoran House Bed and Breakfast Accommodation on the Isle of Iona
Any visitor to the Isle of Iona will tell you that there’s a magical, enchanting atmosphere about the island that cannot be explained and must be experienced first hand.
St Columba arrived here in AD563, establishing a Christian community that would have far reaching effects on Scotland and beyond. Today visitors enjoy the unique atmosphere and stunning scenery in equal measure.
We’ve created two very special places to stay – Ardoran House offers luxury bed & breakfast accommodation with large guest rooms, a light airy lounge and conservatory with the added luxuries of a spa bath and sauna. Our self catering accommodation, Ardbeg, provides you with all the luxuries for modern living and is fully equipped for your visit.
Both purpose built properties stand on the shores of the Sound of Iona and look over to Mull, with it’s dramatic coastal mountain scenery. Few places in the Western Isles offer a better chance to spot Scottish wildlife – from whale watching, dolphins and basking sharks to the rare and elusive corncrake with its “crex crex” call which always causes excitement when they arrive at the end of April.
Our family has been lucky enough to have lived on the Isle of Iona for generations and we are more than happy to share our local knowledge to offer a deeper insight into the beauty and magic that is Iona.
